A professional procrastinator has made a career out of procrastination, has perfected the art of procrastination. Listed below are some of the behaviors or traits that qualify you as a “professional procrastinator”.
1) Do you have difficulty putting things into action?
2) Are you always late for appointments or classes?
3) Do you constantly doubt yourself?
4) Do you blame or criticize yourself when things do not go your way?
5) Are your goals too general and not specific enough?
6) Are you always busy setting goals and not achieving those goals?
7) Do you give up too soon?
Know and observe yourself and your behaviors. You want to start by discovering what your want from life. Once you decide what you want, find out what hinders you. If you know what hinders you, think of ways that you can remove those obstacles out of your way. The first thing you want to do is to be honest with yourself and others.
Procrastination is the opposite of action. When you decide which of your tasks or goals need immediate attention and those that can be done later, you’ve just learned to prioritize your goals. So decide – once and for all – which should be assigned top priority, and then ACT.
